Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment for a broad range of diagnostic procedures. You will prepare contrast media, position patients, optimize image quality, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include post-processing, data entry into the radiology system, and maintaining equipment through QA tests while acting as a resource for staff and students.

Qualifications

• 2 years MRI technologist experience.
• Advanced knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and magnetic safety.
• Excellent communication and patient service skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsabilités

• Operate MR equipment to perform basic to advanced diagnostic procedures (angiography, thoracic, abdomen, venous, cardiac, functional MRI, etc.).
• Prepare and administer contrast media under Radiologist direction.
• Position patient and adjust scanning factors to obtain optimal images; ensure magnet safety.
• Post-process images and label with patient identifiers and scan location.
• Enter patient and study data into radiology information system; code procedures for charges.
• Identify equipment issues and perform QA tests; report malfunctions.
• Serve as resource and/or preceptor; educate staff and students.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve imaging processes.
• Assist with patient handling and adhere to age-specific care requirements.
