Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network in Kentucky is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform MRI examinations according to department procedures and under the supervision of the Section Chief and Manager.

You will demonstrate venipuncture skill, maintain RIS/HIS fluency, participate in QA programs, ensure patient safety, and communicate findings to radiologists while providing patient education.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an ARRT-recognized education program or ARRT/ARMRIT registered.
• Advanced MRI registry required within 1 year of hire.
• Two years of staff technologist experience; 1 year MRI experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations according to department procedures and safety guidelines.
• Communicate clinical observations to radiologists during MRI exams.
• Prepare and position patients; ensure accurate documentation and patient safety.
• Maintain RIS/HIS data accuracy and contribute to QA/PI activities.
• Verify patient identity, orders, and ensure correct study in PACS.
