Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform MRI examinations and ensure continuity of care under the department chief and manager.

Qualifications

• Graduate from ARRT recognized education program and ARRT/ARMRIT registered or registry eligible.
• Advanced MRI registry required within 1 year of hire; BLS certification within 3 months.
• Two years of staff technologist experience preferred; 1 year as MRI technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful technical continuity of care for patients receiving MRI studies.
• Communicate clinical observations to radiologists and present patient history.
• Demonstrate venipuncture competency for contrast administration.
• Maintain knowledge of RIS/HIS modules relevant to duties.
• Assist in data gathering and participate in Radiology QA/PI program.
• Adhere to downtime procedures to ensure data continuity.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through in-services or education.
• Provide educational information to patients about their examination.
• Verify patient identity and accuracy of Medical Record info before PACS.
• Review patient safety checklist prior to the study.
• Support department goals to enhance Press Ganey patient satisfaction.
