Job summary

Requirements include graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT certification eligibility, and BLS CPR certification. The role supports a clinical environment with focus on safety and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program with current certification or eligibility by the ARRT.
• Valid State Medical Radiographer license.
• MRI certification within 36 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI, MRV, and MRA procedures with a focus on patient safety and proper positioning.
• Practice MRI safety protocols at all times.
• Access and administer drugs as per procedures using sterile techniques.
• Operate MRI equipment and support systems such as HIS, RIS, PACS, and offsite services.
• Review patient history, document studies accurately, and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Coordinate exams within the department and communicate effectively with staff, patients, and families.
• Handle scheduling and inquiries courteously.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Maintain, disinfect, and troubleshoot equipment; ensure work area supplies are stocked.
