Job summary

Chesapeake Regional Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform routine and complex MRI procedures, ensuring high-quality images for radiologist interpretation. You will educate patients, follow MR safety protocols, and supervise Imaging Technologist Assistants as needed.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, maintaining equipment safety, and supporting preceptorship duties in a clinical imaging team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program or MRI Program.
• Previous MRI experience preferred.
• ARRT-MRI or ARMRIT certification or ARRT registration, and MRI certification within two years of employment.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex MRI procedures and assess image quality for interpretation by a radiologist.
• Review physician orders and follow established MR protocols.
• Educate patients and families about the exam and address questions.
• Maintain safety standards and report equipment issues.
• Direct Imaging Technologist Assistants as needed and participate in preceptor duties.
