Qualifications

• Certified by ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT.
• Graduation from a radiologic technology program; a related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Must obtain or hold current certification and complete advanced certification within 24 months if hired after a specified date.
• Knowledge of MRI safety, imaging protocols, and medication administration is essential.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient information, verify clinical history, and ensure confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, ensuring patient safety and image quality.
• Administer medications via vascular access when prescribed.
• Evaluate images for accuracy and technical quality, manage data transfer and storage.
• Assist with magnetic resonance interventions and procedures.
• Apply MRI safety principles, participate in safety investigations, and minimize risks.
• Educate and monitor healthcare providers and students.
