Job summary

IRMC in the United States is seeking an MRI technologist to perform routine and advanced MRI procedures in accordance with physician orders and imaging protocols.

You will explain procedures to patients, screen for contraindications, position patients, operate scanners, and monitor during imaging while ensuring safety and high-quality images. The role includes documenting results in PACS/EMR and participating in QA, education, and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an approved school of radiologic technology.
  • ARRT MR certification or ARMRIT registration.
  • BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire.
  • 2 years of general radiologic technologist experience preferred.
  • MRI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures per orders and protocols.
  • Explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort and safety.
  • Screen patients for MRI contraindications.
  • Position patients and use coils for high-quality images.
  • Operate MRI scanners and troubleshoot issues.
  • Monitor patients during imaging and respond to needs.
  • Document data in PACS and EMR accurately.
  • Follow Zone 4 MRI safety standards.
  • Assist with contrast administration under supervision.
  • Participate in QA, continuing education, and equipment maintenance.
