Job summary

Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital is seeking a per diem MRI technologist to operate the MRI scanner under supervision, ensuring safety and producing high-quality images. The role involves reviewing orders, selecting protocols, positioning patients, centering coils, and performing daily QA to support timely interpretation.

You will also perform venipuncture and IV contrast administration, screen patients for MRI safety, manage room flow, enter charges in EMAR, and ensure exams are available

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an approved Magnetic Resonance Imaging program.
• Must possess an Associate’s Degree in MRI.
• Must maintain a current ARRT registry in MRI.
• New graduates must obtain ARRT registration within 1 year of hire.
• Must maintain a current BCLS

Responsibilities

• Manage room workflow and facilitate patient care with the MRI Supervisor.
• Review MRI orders for exam indications and confirm scan protocol.
• Perform venipuncture and administer IV contrast agents.
• Screen patients for MRI safety and ensure proper positioning and coil placement.
• Prepare and clean equipment and scanner; perform daily QA on MRI scanner.
• Enter charges into EMAR and ensure exams are available on PACS for interpretation
