Qualifications

• ARRT registry in radiologic technology and MRI required or achieved within 2 years of hire.
• State licensure on Radiation Protection required.
• Two-year accredited program in radiologic technology; Associate degree or equivalent within three years.
• CPR certification and PEEPS certification required.
• Must be ARRT registered and pass MRI registry per job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in MRI unit operation and radiology information systems.
• Performs MRI procedures and quality control per departmental protocols.
• Conducts MRI safety screenings and ensures proper consent and pre-scan checks.
• Maintains compliance with Joint Commission and regulatory requirements.
• Enters study information accurately and coordinates workflow with patient care activities.
• Verifies insurance pre-authorizations as defined by departmental protocols.
• Ensures patient confidentiality and safe IV access as needed.
• Demonstrates ability to handle contrast media injectors and i-STAT testing.
