Job summary

Weill Cornell Medicine on Upper East Side is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment and support safe, efficient patient care. The role involves exam prep, patient triage, and collaboration with the radiology team to ensure accurate imaging and correct patient data entry.

Ideal candidates have ~2 years of MRI experience, hold NYS radiographic licensure and ARRT MR certification, and are compliant with IV contrast requirements and BLS.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2 years of MRI technologist experience.
• Graduate of an approved radiography school.
• Current NYS Radiographic Technology license (R).
• ARRT MR certification.
• NYS IV contrast administration certification within 1 year.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to assist in diagnosis per procedures.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and assist with cost control.
• Assist patients with flow, transfers, and positioning for exams.
• Ensure patient safety and infection control throughout procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media as permitted.
