Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System in New York seeks a skilled MRI Technologist to perform MRI studies, prepare and position patients, and ensure diagnostic image quality in accordance with department protocols.

The ideal candidate holds NY State LRT, ARRT MRI certification, AMA/J.C.E.R.T. accredited program, and strong MR physics knowledge, patient safety focus, infection control, and experience with IDX/PACS systems.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• New York State License (L.R.T.).
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists MRI certification.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI imaging procedures and ensures diagnostic quality.
• Assists, prepares and positions patients for MRI procedures.
• Operates and prepares specialized MRI equipment per protocol.
• Reviews radiographs for technical acceptability and image labeling.
• Maintains clean, safe imaging room and adheres to infection control policies.
