Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health is seeking a MR Imaging Technologist for the UCHealth Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO. This full-time, night-shift role performs MRI procedures in accordance with established standards and organizational policies.

The position requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program, ARRT/MR registry (or eligibility with 12-month completion), and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• Registered as a Technologist (RT) and registered in MRI or registry eligible with completing of registry within 12 months by ARRT (MRI) or ARMRIT.
• BLS - CPR from AHA or Red Cross with card in-hand before start date; valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history, physician orders and schedules; educates patient about procedures, equipment and exam.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope; monitors patient and responds to changes in status.
• Prepares equipment and supplies; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters; ensures safety standards and performs QC; troubleshoots equipment as needed.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s); analyzes results and addresses image quality issues; documents and reports scan results.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, decisive judgement, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
