Job summary

Baylor University Medical Center – Downtown Dallas is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI exams under physician supervision. You will ensure image quality, patient comfort, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, communicating clearly with patients and families, and maintaining imaging records. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2 years MRI experience, and ARRT(MR)/ARMRIT or ARRT(R) certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience.
• Certification by ARRT(MR) or ARRT(R) or ARMRIT required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI procedures according to exam protocol.
• Utilize AIDET to communicate with patients and identify service needs.
• Prepare patient and area for the procedure; position patient and set exposure factors.
• Follow safety, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies.
• Maintain equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards.
• Screen people entering the department and obtain/verify all relevant documentation.
• Maintain medical imaging records in accordance with department policies.
