Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple under radiologist supervision. Procedures are ordered by physicians to diagnose disease or injury, following established protocols.

The role emphasizes patient communication via AIDET, safe exam prep, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Shift: Monday–Friday, 7 AM–3:30 PM; call may be required; sign-on bonus of $10,000 for external candidates.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Less than 1 year of experience preferred.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MR) or ARMRIT certification required (MR) or ARRT(R) OR ARMRIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality MRI procedures according to exam protocol.
• Uses AIDET to communicate with patients and explains the test.
• Prepares patient and area for the procedure by positioning and adjusting equipment.
• Maintains safety, infection-control, and sterile techniques.
• Maintains equipment and department cleanliness; assists with supplies inventory.
• Screens individuals entering the department and ensures proper documentation and policies.
