Job summary

Vanderbilt Health MRI Imaging is seeking a skilled MRI technologist to perform high-quality MRI scans under the supervision of a Radiologist. You will operate the MRI unit, injectors, and related equipment, while ensuring patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced imaging department.

The role requires participation in on-call coverage and adherence to imaging protocols. You will collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and nursing staff to deliver accurate exams and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• MRI technologist performs all aspects of MRI under Radiologist supervision.
• Proficient with MRI unit, injectors, teleradiology, monitors and laser camera.
• Must participate in on-call coverage as part of job requirements.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort while following Imaging Services protocols.

Responsibilities

• Use MRI equipment to create cross-sectional image scans of patients to help doctors diagnose and treat illness or disease
• Interact directly with patients and physicians
• May administer intravenous injections of contrast dyes
• Maintain safety measures that are specific to MRI
• Communicate with the rest of the care team as needed
• Ensuring that patients are comfortable and safe
