Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN is seeking an MRI technologist to perform all MRI procedures in accordance with department policies to deliver high-quality patient care.

The PRN position requires covering two shifts in a six-week cycle; you will review exam requests and patient IDs, maintain safety standards, ensure timely exams, assist in orientation and training of new staff, and participate in continuous quality improvement within radiology.

Qualifications

• Performs all MRI procedures in accordance with department policies.
• PRN schedule requires shift flexibility.
• Licensure: ARRT in Radiography or MRI.
• Graduate of an approved radiologic technology program.

Responsibilities

• Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification for safe imaging.
• Applies skills to ensure timely, quality, compliant exams.
• Provides MRI screening per safety standards.
• Assists in orientation and training of new staff.
• General duties may include additional tasks.
