Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI exams and support physicians in patient care. You will image neonatal to geriatric patients under the supervision of a Radiologist, while following safety standards.

Active ARDMS/ARRT registration and BCLS are required upon hire; prior MRI experience is preferred but not mandatory. This full-time on-site role offers opportunities within a respected Piedmont health system.

Qualifications

• AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program required.
• No experience required; 6 months as MRI Technologist preferred.
• BCLS certification required upon hire; ARDMS or ARRT Radiographer registration.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations to support physician diagnosis.
• Provide patient care across all ages under radiologist guidance.
• Adhere to prescribed standards and safety protocols during imaging.

Responsibilities:

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
