Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY

Location: Henry Ford St. John Hospital, 22101 Moross Rd, Detroit, MI 48236

Shift: PRN, hours and shift will vary depending on the needs of the department

Responsibilities include operating a scanner to obtain diagnostic images, preparing and positioning patients, selecting appropriate parameters, performing pre-screening, scheduling, patient education, managing patient data, transferring images, developing films, following safety procedures, ensuring image quality, maintaining equipment, and keeping the department clean and organized.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, OR an Associate's or Technical degree, OR 4 years of applicable experience.

CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED:

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire or transfer (American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted).
• One or more of the following credentials:
• ARRT in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (within 12 months of hire)
• Nuclear Medical Tech from NMTCB (prior to hire)
• ARRT in Radiography (prior to hire)
• ARDMS in Medical Sonography (within 12 months of hire)
• ARMRIT in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (prior to hire)
