Job summary

Froedtert Health in Menomonee Falls, WI seeks a Lead MRI Technologist to support daily operations, scheduling, and staff onboarding. You will perform MRI studies under radiologist direction, ensure safety, and interact with imaging staff, nursing, physicians, patients, and visitors.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years MRI experience, graduation from a JRCERT/JRCMNT/JRCDMS program, ARDMS/ARRT credentialing, and BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years MRI technologist experience; 5 years preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited radiologic program (JRCERT/JRCMNT/JRCDMS).
• AR D MS/ARRT or equivalent, with BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI studies under radiologist direction and ensure patient safety.
• Lead daily operations, schedule needs, and coordinate departmental workflows.
• Precept and onboard new staff; serve as resource for technical and safety needs.

Shift Details: Monday-Friday 0530-1400 or 0600-1430 (4daysx8hrs, 1dayx6hrs)

Job Summary: Under direction of the Manager, a Lead MRI technologist supports daily operations, scheduling needs, serves as a point person for departmental workflows and compliance expectations, supports precepting and onboarding of new employees, and other duties as assigned. Performs all duties and responsibilities of a MR Technologist: Performs MRI studies under the direction of a radiologist. This individual interacts with imaging staff, nursing, physicians, patients and visitors. Acts as a resource person for technical and safety related needs. Demonstrates competence according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols. Operates and prepares MRI scanner and MRI specific equipment, maintains images and archives associated with patient data.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Minimum of 3 years of MRI technologist experience is required. Minimum of 5 years of MRI technologist experience is preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Graduate of a JRCERT, JRCMNT, or JRCDMS approved program is required. 2-4 years of college/university coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare related field is preferred.

TRAINING DESCRIPTION: Completes Level II MR Safety training.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Ability and demonstrated competence in IV insertion and contrast injection; ability to assimilate new procedures into work routine is required.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Primary credential through ARDMS, ARRT, ARMRIT or NMTCB is required. Advanced Certification through ARMRIT or ARRT(MR) is required within 18 months of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) is required within 90 days of hire date.
