Job summary

Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, NY, is seeking a Part-time MRI Technologist to perform MR imaging and related tasks, including contrast preparation and equipment handling. After on-the-job training, the technologist will perform MRI procedures with proficiency and minimal supervision.

The role requires experience in MRI, ARRT certification or progress toward it, and adherence to NYSDOH, JCAHO, and OSHA guidelines. Weekend/after-hours calls are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Approved School of Radiological Technology and/or MRI program.
• BLS Certification.
• 3–5 years work experience as CT Technologist with strong cross-sectional anatomy background; MRI experience preferred.
• Post-Hire: within 6 months, able to perform MRI procedures.
• Within 18 months post-hire, pursue ARRT MRI certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures and MR imaging per guidelines.
• Handle scanner instrumentation and contrast agent preparation.
• Perform after hours and weekend emergency calls.
• After post-hire training, perform MRI at proficient level with minimal supervision.
