Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare is seeking an MRI technologist for in-person imaging in Minneapolis, MN. This 0.9 FTE role features day shifts (12 hours, 6:30am–7:00pm) and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible external candidates.

Under supervision, you will perform MRI exams, verify orders, and ensure patient safety throughout the imaging process. The position emphasizes MR safety, venipuncture, contrast administration, and collaboration with radiologists and nursing staff to deliver high-quality imaging

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal educational Radiologic Technology program.
• Currently certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Possesses MR certification (ARRT) (MRI Tech II only) or MR certification within 36 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI exams under the order of a licensed medical practitioner.
• Reviews MRI exam orders and patient identification to ensure correct exam.
• Assesses patient risk and contraindications for MRI procedures.
• Obtains information from sources to determine MRI safety for the patient.
• Assists with contrast administration and pre-medication protocols as prescribed.
• Maintains MRI safety policies and prepares patients for exams.
• Manages documentation in the electronic chart and PACS system.
• Supports education and training of staff and students in MRI procedures.
