Job summary

Fairview Health Services, at the Fairview East Bank University Hospital in Minneapolis, MN, seeks an MRI Technologist for a 1.0 FTE night shift (Sun–Thu, 10 PM–6 AM). Eligible for a sign-on bonus; some hours may include additional differential pay for late night shifts.

The MRI Technologist will produce patient-specific diagnostic images, meet standards of practice, and support patient care and equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification required.
• Basic Life Support (AHA or Red Cross) required.
• MRI Safety Screen requirements must be met.
• MRI Certification within 1-1/2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient care during imaging procedures.
• Performs examinations and acquires diagnostic MRI images.
• Identify relevant data from images and communicate findings to health care team.
• Ensure patient safety and emergency preparedness throughout procedures.
• Document patient information and ensure accurate film identification and jacket prep.
• Operate and maintain MRI equipment and optimize image quality.
• Provide training to students and participate in orientation of new staff.
