Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform routine MRI procedures with a focus on patient safety and comfort. You will operate imaging equipment, ensure high-quality images for radiologist evaluation, and uphold department protocols and safety standards throughout each exam.

The role involves patient education, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with radiologists and the healthcare team to achieve optimal imaging results and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
• ARRT and ARMRIT eligible/certifications preferred or required within 12 months.
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures per physician orders and protocols.
• Review patient history and questionnaires for contraindications.
• Operate MRI systems and processing equipment safely.
• Prepare patients, address questions, ensure comfort and understanding.
• Maintain MRI safety zones and verify readiness before scans.
• Document clinical history with exam findings for radiologist review.
• Manage MRI supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring sterility.
• Verify orders and patient IDs before starting procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team for quality imaging.
• Monitor equipment and report issues promptly.
• Provide post-exam instructions and support to patients.
