Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
• Reviews MRI patient questionnaires and histories to identify contraindications and ensure safety.
• Operates MRI equipment and processing systems following safety guidelines.
• Educates and prepares patients for MRI exams, addressing questions to ensure comfort.
• Maintains MRI safety zones and verifies patient/staff readiness before scans.
• Documents clinical history with exam findings for radiologist review.
• Maintains inventory of MRI supplies and equipment; ensures sterility.
• Verifies orders and patient ID before starting procedures to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborates with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare team for optimal imaging results.
• Monitors MRI equipment and reports issues promptly.
• Provides post-exam instructions to patients and supports care continuity.
