The role involves operating imaging equipment, maintaining supplies, and supporting radiologists with high-quality images and accurate documentation. The position requires graduation from an accredited radiologic technology or MRI program and 0–2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
• Reviews MRI patient questionnaires and histories to identify contraindications, ensuring safety during scans.
• Operates MRI and processing equipment, following safety guidelines and protocols.
• Educates and prepares patients for MRI exams, addressing questions and ensuring comfort.
• Maintains MRI safety zones and verifies patient/staff readiness before entering scan areas.
• Documents and correlates clinical history with exam findings for radiologists.
• Maintains inventory of MRI supplies and equipment, ensuring sterility.
• Verifies physician orders and patient identification prior to procedures.
• Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare teams to optimize imaging results and outcomes.
• Monitors MRI equipment functionality and reports issues promptly.
• Provides instructions and support to patients during and after exams.
