Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform routine MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety and high-quality images under physician orders. This role supports diagnostic services, maintains equipment, and assists with patient comfort throughout procedures.

Part-time position 11a-7:30p with potential rotation to day shift; includes benefits and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Requires ARRT or ARMRIT eligible and BCLS, with strong patient communication and safety focus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience as a registered MRI Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures according to physician orders and protocols.
• Reviews patient histories to identify contraindications.
• Operates MRI and processing equipment per safety guidelines.
• Educates and prepares patients for MRI exams to ensure comfort.
• Maintains MRI safety standards and zones.
• Documents clinical history with exam findings.
• Maintains inventory and sterility of MRI supplies.
• Verifies orders and patient identity before procedures.
• Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare team.
• Monitors MRI equipment functionality and reports issues.
• Provides instructions to patients during/after exams.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
