Job summary

Advocate Health Care seeks an MRI Technologist for the Floyd Medical Center MRI department. The role involves confirming orders, preparing patients, performing MRI exams, and coordinating with Radiologists to ensure quality imaging and patient safety.

Qualified candidates will be ARRT MRI registry eligible or ARMRIT, with BLS and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting. Part-time hours and pay range are provided in the posting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-accredited Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Active enrollment in MRI ARRT registry eligible or ARMRIT program required.
• MRI registry certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders for each patient.
• Perform MRI procedures and assist Radiologist/PA during exams.
• Identify patients, explain procedures, and obtain medical history.
• Maintain radiation safety and infection control standards.
• Operate MRI equipment, document contrast administration, and manage supplies.
