Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform routine MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort while producing high-quality images for physician evaluation.

You will operate MRI equipment, manage supplies, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure optimal imaging results and patient outcomes. The role requires ARRT or ARMRIT eligibility and BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
• 0–2 years of clinical experience as a registered MRI Technologist required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures according to physician orders and protocols.
• Review patient histories to identify contraindications and safety issues.
• Operate MRI and processing equipment following safety guidelines.
• Educate and prepare patients for MRI exams; address questions and concerns.
• Maintain MRI safety zones and ensure patient/staff readiness before scans.
• Document clinical history and correlate with exam findings for radiologist review.
• Monitor and maintain MRI supplies and equipment inventory.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to optimize imaging results.
• Provide instructions during and after exams to promote patient understanding and satisfaction.
