Job summary

Insight Health System is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform daily imaging activities and ensure safety and accuracy. You will work with imaging equipment, maintain clean and properly used devices, and interact with patients in a courteous, efficient manner.

The role requires ARRT MRI certification, BLS, and at least one year of radiologic imaging experience. Associates degree is required; a bachelor’s degree is a plus. Knowledge of Siemens and Philips systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT MRI certification required prior to hire date.
• Active BLS provider or within 3 months of hire.
• Radiologic Technologist MRI credentialing from ARRT required.
• One year of Radiologic Imaging experience.
• Knowledge of Siemens and Phillips equipment.
• Associates Degree required; bachelor’s preferred.
• ARRT MRI program completion required.

Responsibilities

• Positions patients and selects parameters to produce cross-sectional images.
• Educates patients on procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Operates MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Documents patient data and prepares reports as needed.
• Maintains patient histories and notes per policy.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and regulations.
• Reviews images for diagnostic quality and accuracy.
• Follows physician instructions on patient care management.
• Attends HIPAA/OSHA training and committee meetings.
