Job summary

ChristianaCare Springside location is seeking a Full-Time CT Scan Technologist I to perform MRI procedures, maintain QC, and ensure patient safety and compliance with regulations.

The role requires ARRT registration, MRI certification within 2 years, Cerner training, and strong customer service skills. Flexibility to work weekends and at alternate locations is expected in a fast-paced imaging department.

Qualifications

• ARRT registry in radiologic technology is required.
• ARRT registry in MRI is required within two years of hire.
• State Licensure on Radiation Protection is required.
• Associate’s degree required; may substitute related field within three years.
• CPR certification required.
• Yearly PEEPS certification required for proper positioning and transfer of patients.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI units and related systems per department protocols.
• Perform MRI procedures and quality control.
• Screen patients for safety regarding implants prior to scanning.
• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations (ACR and Joint Commission).
• Enter accurate patient study information into care systems.
• Coordinate workflow and patient care activities.
• Verify insurance pre-authorization prior to scanning.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Demonstrate IV access and monitor patient status.
• Demonstrate proficiency with contrast media injectors.
• Perform i-STAT testing and calculate GFR per policy.
