Job summary

MedQuest Imaging in Charleston, SC, seeks an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic scans with precision while upholding patient safety and comfort. You will verify patient data, review physician requests, and select appropriate scanning parameters to maximize diagnostic value.

The role requires positioning patients, using immobilization devices, administering contrast per regulations, and documenting procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registered with advanced registry in MRI.
• Must complete CEUs to keep Certification active.
• Active state licensure where applicable.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Complete scans effectively and efficiently: collect pertinent data about the patient and procedure; review physician’s request to determine scanning parameters.
• Screen the patient for ferrous and RF-sensitive material before entering the magnetic field; position and prepare patients for MRI.
• Select immobilization devices; administer contrast agents per regulations; enter necessary patient information to initiate the scan(s).
• Assess and monitor the patient’s status throughout the procedure; review images to determine if additional scans are needed; document data and archive images.
