Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston is seeking a part-time MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations under supervision, following established protocols for physician interpretation.

You will screen patients, document exams in RIS and PACS, maintain image quality and safety, and support training of staff while complying with MRI safety standards and department policies.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of general MRI exams experience including implants, elastography, and defecography.
• Rotate to other locations as needed for training/staffing.
• Must obtain ARRT or ARMRIT MRI registration within 1 year of hire; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations following established protocols to ensure image quality and patient safety.
• Complete patient screening, exam documentation, and image verification in RIS/PACS.
• Maintain high standards of image quality, productivity, and patient throughput.
• Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the imaging process.
• Adhere to MRI safety protocols and SHIELD event documentation; support onboarding and training.
