Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an Imaging Technologist to operate imaging equipment, produce high-quality diagnostic images, and support Radiologists. The role requires ARRT certification, Montana licensure, a two-year degree, and BLS.

Clinicians will perform imaging procedures, manage patient records, ensure safety, and participate in QA activities. The position is full-time with 8-10 hour shifts at St James Hospital, with potential for on-call duties and cross-department opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or diploma from a two-year college or technical school.
• ARRT certification (R). Additional certification within 18 months of hire.
• BLS certification.
• Current Montana Licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment to produce quality diagnostic images as directed by Radiologist.
• Enter physician’s orders into patient records accurately and timely.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Explain imaging procedures and safety precautions to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Position patients and use immobilization devices to obtain optimal views.
• Administer contrast media per Radiologist/Pharmacy guidelines.
• Monitor patients during procedures via direct contact or in control room.
• Follow radiation protection and infection control policies to ensure safety.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to patient care improvements.
• Manage supplies and assist with budgeted par levels.
