Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Imaging Technologist to operate imaging equipment, produce high-quality diagnostic images, and ensure patient safety under Radiologist guidance.

The role involves patient education, protection protocols, and coordination with multiple care teams. Requires ARRT certification or eligibility, Montana licensure, and BLS. Full-time, on-site at St James Hospital with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Non CertifiedRequired: Associate’s degree (AA) or diploma from a two-year college or technical school or minimum 6 months related experience and/or training.
• ARRT (R) and additional certification in at least one other modality within 18 months of hire; BLS.
• Current Montana Licensure; ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals.
• Ability to respond to inquiries from customers/regulators, etc.; write speeches/articles; present to management/boards.
• Ability to calculate figures and apply algebra/geometry; solve practical problems; interpret instructions.

Responsibilities

• Input Physician’s orders to patient records accurately.
• Educates, interviews, screens and explains imaging and safety procedures to patients.
• Position patients on imaging tables and use immobilization devices as needed.
• Monitor patients during procedures via direct contact, voice communication, or video screens.
• Practice safety, radiation protection and infection control per policies.
