Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Imaging Technologist to operate imaging equipment under Radiologist direction, applying knowledge of anatomy, physiology and radiation safety to produce diagnostic images. You will access and update patient records, input physician orders, monitor patients during procedures, and maintain strict confidentiality and infection control standards.

This full‑time role at St. James Hospital in Butte, MT offers a 36‑hour work week with 8–10 hour shifts and rotating

Qualifications

• AA degree or diploma from a two-year college or technical school.
• ARRT certification in at least one modality or eligibility within 18 months of hire.
• Ability to read, interpret scientific and technical journals.

Responsibilities

• Access, manage and update patient medical records in EMR systems.
• Input physician orders accurately to patient records.
• Explain imaging procedures and safety to patients prior to procedures.
• Position patients on imaging tables and use immobilization devices as needed.
• Administer contrast media according to Radiologist guidelines.
• Monitor patients during procedures and maintain infection control.
• Participate in quality assurance and annual competency activities.
• May float to other departments as needed and be on-call when scheduled.
