Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Imaging Technologist for full-time, on-site work at St. James Hospital in Butte, MT. The role requires operating imaging equipment, following radiologist directives, and protecting patient safety.

You will maintain patient records in the EMR, input orders, and educate patients on procedures while adhering to safety and ethics standards. Some flexibility with shifts and on-call may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or diploma from a two-year college or technical school.
• ARRT certification within 18 months of hire; BLS.
• Ability to access and update patient medical records in the EMR.
• Ability to read, interpret radiology orders and ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment under Radiologist direction to produce diagnostic quality images.
• Input physician orders accurately into patient records and maintain confidentiality.
• Adhere to ARRT ethics, radiation protection, and safety procedures.
• Educate patients about imaging procedures and safety measures to reduce anxiety and improve cooperation.
• May float to other departments within scope of competency based on need.
