Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a PRN MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations across all ages, ensuring safety and comfort for patients. You will collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to deliver timely imaging services and maintain accurate records.

Requires graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT (R) and ARMRIT registrations (within 1 year if needed), SC licensure, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• ARRT (R) registration required.
• ARMRIT registration required within 1 year if not registered.
• Licensure from SC Radiation Quality Standards Association required.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations on patients across all age groups.
• Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Utilize MRI resources, protocols, and technology to ensure timely imaging services.
• Prepare, position, and educate patients regarding MRI procedures.
• Adhere to safety standards, infection control, and MRI-specific protocols.
• Monitor patients during examinations and respond to needs and concerns.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation per regulations.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses and healthcare team.
• Ensure proper care, maintenance, and quality control of MRI equipment and areas.
• Perform additional duties to support departmental operations.
