Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an MRI technologist to utilize all MRI resources and perform high-quality examinations for patients from neonates to geriatrics. You will work in a team-oriented environment across multiple MU locations.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology, ARRT or ARMRIT registration, SC license, current BLS, and ARRT MRI registration within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Registered ARRT or ARMRIT and SC RQS licensed.
• Must obtain ARRT MRI Registration within 1 year of hire date.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize all MRI resources to perform high quality MRI examinations on patient population.
• Must function effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Rotate to all sites and handle implants, elastography, spectroscopy, and breast MRI cases.

Job Description

Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology and one year of radiologic experience. Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT), and licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association. Must be able to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision. Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment. Must be familiar with age specific criteria.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Proactively maintains and renews ARRT, state license, BLS, PPD, respirator fit test, and POC training.
