Job summary

Akumin is seeking an MRI Technologist for our Trion and Cedartown, GA and Centre, AL facilities on a part-time basis. The role involves patient safety, performing high-quality MR studies on-site and possibly remote oversight, and collaborating with radiologists and the care team.

Responsibilities include safety screening, image acquisition, equipment operation, training new staff, and compassionate patient communication.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR certification or ARMRIT as allowable by contract
• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
• CPR certification required
• State license, if applicable

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient safety including pre-screening and aseptic technique.
• Produces high quality MR images and operates multiple MR systems as needed.
• Communicates effectively with radiologists, team members, patients, and customers.
• Trains and orients new technologists, patient coordinators and MR Technologist Assistants on site or remotely.
• Other duties as assigned.
