Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Tech for a part-time role at our Grant facility. The MRI Technologist will ensure patient safety, perform high-quality MR studies, and communicate effectively with radiologists, staff, patients, and clients on site or remotely.

The role requires ARRT MR registration or equivalent credentials where applicable, CPR, and flexibility to work at several locations. Benefits are offered according to eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR Certification.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• 3 months MRI experience OR 6+ months MRI training program.
• MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT: No experience required.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Local travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications and aseptic technique.
• Produces high quality diagnostic MR images and operates multiple MR systems as required.
• Communicates with radiologists, staff and patients to address concerns and resolve conflicts.
• Trains and orients new technologists and assistants on site or remotely.
• Other duties as assigned.
