Job summary

Akumin is hiring for an MRI Technologist at Centre, AL and at Trion and Cedartown, GA facilities. This is a part-time, on-site role. You will ensure patient safety and perform high-quality MR studies, communicating with radiologists, team members, and patients whether on-site or remote.

You must have ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, CPR, and a state license if applicable. The position requires flexibility to work at several locations and may include travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT as allowable by contract.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR Certification.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT: No experience required.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Local travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Safety: pre-screening for contraindications and aseptic technique.
• Produces high-quality diagnostic images with MR systems.
• Communicates effectively with radiologists and patients.
• Trains/orients staff on site and/or remotely.
• Other duties as assigned.
