Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist for our Trion and Cedartown, GA and Centre, AL facilities. This part-time position emphasizes patient safety, high-quality MR studies, and effective communication with radiologists, staff, and patients in a mobile/remote setting.

The role requires ARRT or ARMRIT certification as eligible, eligibility for state licensure, CPR, and flexibility to work across multiple locations. Strong customer service and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; ARRT(R) or ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT.
• State license, if applicable; CPR certification.
• MRI technologist with registered status preferred; ability to work at several locations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and pre-screen for contraindications.
• Produce high-quality MR images.
• Operate multiple MR systems as required.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, patients and staff.
• Train and orient new technologists and assistants, on site or remote.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
