Job summary

Akumin Inc. is hiring an MRI Technologist for Trion and Cedartown, GA, and Centre, AL, in a part-time role. The position focuses on patient safety and high-quality MR imaging, with on-site and remote responsibilities for collaboration with Radiologists and team members.

Requirements include ARRT MR or ARMRIT eligibility, state licensure if applicable, CPR, and possible travel. Training will occur for new technologists and assistants, and a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT
• State license, if applicable
• CPR Certification
• MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT: No experience required

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications and aseptic technique.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images and operates MR systems.
• Demonstrates effective communication with radiologists, staff and patients.
• Trains and orients new technologists, patient coordinators and MR Technologist Assistants, onsite or remote.
