Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time MRI technologist for the Chicago Radiology department. The role involves MRI imaging, patient care, safety compliance, and accurate documentation. You will immobilize patients, select protocols, operate MRI equipment, and ensure images are properly transmitted to PACS.

A strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and ongoing professional development is required. With a 20-hour workweek and shifts including Friday to Monday, this position offers benefits

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology or MRI Program.
• ARRT or ARMRIT certification required.
• Completion of a formal MRI course at the junior college level or above.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Position and immobilize patients to obtain high-quality MRI scans.
• Select imaging protocols and enable post-processing for optimal quality.
• Operate MRI equipment and related technology with safety compliance.
• Initiate IV access and administer contrast as per policy; screen patients for MRI safety.
• Review charges, manage schedules, and transmit images to PACS.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and assist with training.
