Job summary

Mercy Health in Anderson is hiring an MRI Technologist (Harmonized) to perform MRI scans per protocol under radiologist supervision, train new staff, and participate in student supervision.

Requires ARRT MRI Registry or ARMRIT, state licensure preferred, and BLS. An Associate degree is preferred; 1 year MRI dept experience is a plus. Mercy Health offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s from an ARRT accredited institute preferred.
• MRI Registry from ARRT or ARMRIT required; state licensure preferred depending on location; BLS required at hire in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI system and related equipment to achieve diagnostic images.
• Ensures patient safety and comfort during procedures; screens for metal and contraindications.
• Performs IV injections and uses contrast agents per protocol; positions patients and selects scan parameters.
• Trains and supports new staff and participates in education of students.
• Collaborates with radiologists and other departments; participates in quality control and audits.
