Job summary

Mercy Health in Anderson Hospital seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures under Radiologist supervision. The role includes training new staff and supervising MRI students, while ensuring patient safety and accurate imaging per protocol.

The ideal candidate will hold an ARRT MRI registry (or ARMRIT), have 1 year MRI experience, and possess BLS certification. ARRT/ARRT(Diagnostic Radiology) credentials or state licensure may be preferred depending on location.

Qualifications

• ARRT MRI registry or ARMRIT certification required
• State licensure preferred unless required by the state
• BLS from American Heart Association required at hire or prior to independent patient care

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment and protocols under Radiologist direction
• Contributes to training and onboarding of new staff and MRI students
• Ensures patient safety and comfort; screens for metal safety and explains procedures to patients
• Maintains QA and safety checks; troubleshoots equipment in absence of service engineer
• Collaborates with physicians and other departments to support imaging workflows
