Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking an MRI Technologist to prepare patients and perform MRI procedures in accordance with physicians’ orders. You will present high-quality images to Radiologists for timely interpretation and support safety and quality care.

Five 8-hour shifts weekly: Tue–Fri 11:30am–8:00pm and Sat 7:00am–3:30pm. Requires ARRT/ARMRIT MRI certification within one year and CPR per AHA guidelines. Competitive compensation offered.

Qualifications

• Six months’ relevant experience required (minimum of three in MRI OR successful and documented completion of MWHC/MIF cross-training program)
• American Heart Association CPR required.
• Advanced level certification by the ARRT or ARMRIT in MRI required within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for MRI examinations by confirming physicians’ orders and verifying identities.
• Performs MRI examinations on all patient age groups and maintains competency.
• Greets patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Answers telephones and facilitates Radiology communications.
• Maintains a safe environment and MRI safety procedures for patients and staff.
