Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency seeks an MRI technologist to perform MRI procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety in a clinical setting. You will position patients, explain the process, and ensure imaging quality under radiologist guidance.

The role requires ARRT MRI certification (or equivalent), specialty training, and strong knowledge of MRI safety and anatomy. Proficiency with imaging systems and data entry into RIS is essential for accurate reporting and workflow support.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a specialty training program.
• Knowledge of MRI safety, anatomy, and imaging processes.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and explain MRI procedures to ensure comfort and safety.
• Perform neuro, body, and extremity MRI scans per radiologist-approved protocols.
• Administer IV contrast and manage venous access as directed.
• Enter data into radiology information systems and process images.
• Identify anatomy on images and conduct quality control checks on equipment.
• Report equipment issues and collaborate with the team on supply management.
• Provide radiological support to physicians and liaise with care staff.

Role Overview: Performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures, ensuring patient safety and accurate imaging in compliance with protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepares and positions patients, explaining procedures and addressing questions.
• Performs neuro, body, and extremity MRI scans following radiologist-approved protocols.
• Administers IV contrast and manages venous access as directed.
• Enters data into radiology information systems and processes images.
• Identifies anatomy on images and performs quality control checks on equipment.
• Reports equipment issues and collaborates with team members on supply management.
• Provides radiological support to physicians and acts as a liaison.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Certification by ARRT (MRI), ARMRIT, or NMTCB with ARRT-MR or equivalent.
• Graduate from a specialty training program.
• Knowledge of MRI safety, imaging processes, and anatomy.
• Ability to operate imaging systems and perform quality control.
