Qualifications

• Certification by ARRT (ARRT-MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB with ARRT-MR or ARMRIT.
• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program.
• Knowledge of MRI safety, imaging protocols, and anatomy.
• Strong communication and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform neuro, body, and extremity MRI scans following radiologist protocols.
• Administer IV contrast and perform venous access as needed.
• Enter data into imaging systems and process images.
• Perform quality control tests and report equipment issues.
• Share supply management duties and support radiological needs for physicians.
• Act as a liaison between radiology team and healthcare providers.
• Handle non-controlled medications during procedures.

Provides patient care by preparing, positioning, and explaining procedures, and answers patient questions. Demonstrates knowledge of MRI techniques, safety protocols, and anatomy identification on images.
