Job summary

Temple Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI studies and operate the scanner following radiologists' protocols. You will prepare the scan room, position patients and coils, and maintain clear communication with patients throughout the procedure.

This is a full-time day shift at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. Education required includes a high school diploma or equivalent and a program in radiologic technology or MRI certificate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Non Degree Program from a approved AMA Radiologic Technology program or MRI certificate program. Required
• 1 year experience as a Radiology Technologist Required
• 1 year experience as a MRI Technologist Preferred
• Reg Technologist (R) (MR) Required
• Basic Life Support Required

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI studies following set protocol established by the Radiologists.
• Operates the MRI scanner to produce images of consistent optimal quality.
• Prepares scan room and equipment as appropriate.
• Positions patient, coils and equipment as required.
• Maintains communication with the patient throughout the scanning procedure.
